    Prepare your answers to common questions like “Tell me about yourself” and "Why are you interested in this role with our company?".

  • Reread the Job Description

    Understand the specific skills the employer is looking for and think about examples from your past work that align with these requirements.

  • Use the STAR Method

    When asked about times in the past when you used a specific skill, use the STAR method to tell stories with a clear Situation, Task, Action, and Result.

  • Practice Answering Questions with Someone

    Practicing your answers out loud is an effective way to prepare.

  • Prepare a List of References

    Your interviewers might require you to submit a list of references before or after your interview.

  • Be Prepared with Specific Examples

    You’ll likely be asked about specific examples of work you’ve completed or situations you have encountered in relation to the position.

  • Remember, every interview is a two-way street

Decor Cabinets is committed to the Health and Safety of our employees. We do this by providing adequate training for required job tasks, comprehensive safety inspections, and appropriate PPE and safety devices. 

Decor is a SAFE Work Certified employee. The SAFE Work Certification is built around the safety essentials of leadership commitment, hazard identification and risk control, and worker participation. 

It is fundamental to Decor’s culture that Health and Safety be integrated into all our activities at every level.

A range of books are available for staff to sign out. From professional development to family life and children's literature – there's something for everyone.
Employee Assistance Program
Decor has partnered with Pembina Counselling Centre to offer 10 sessions of support at no cost to employees who have worked 3 months of permanent employment.
RRSP Plan
A company matched (2% up to 5%) RRSP plan is available to staff who have worked 3 months of permanent employment.
Canada Life
A comprehensive benefits plan is available to staff who have worked 3 months of permanent employment (more than 20 hours a week).
Subsidized Safety Equipment
Reimbursement is available for staff who require safety gear.
Employee Discount on Cabinets
After 6 months of employment staff members with satisfactory performance are eligible for an employee discount on custom cabinetry for their primary residence. 
Gym Membership Discount
Decor employees are eligible for 10% off a gym membership of 6 months or more at Fitwell in Morden.
